Timber beam-end engineering repairs "A" frame truss repair. The roof had at some time been repaired by others due to a serious infestation of death watch beetle. The repair was insufficient and led to the roof collapsing by a further half metre. Click on each picture for a larger view. |

The lower section of the existing rafter was removed, and the single bolted-on rafter was utilised. This was then marked out and drilled up the end grain to accept the new beam end repair. |
