Platon Stop

Underlay for wooden floors on concrete

Platon Stop is a 2.5 mm studded membrane with high water vapour resistance, manufactured from polypropylene.

It has studs within studs, which create a cushioned effet of approximately 20% for the final floor finish,, and impact sound deadening of approximately 19dB.

As Platon Stop has a low construction height it is suited to both new-build and refurbishment projects, where a thicker underlay could create problems. It is ideally suited as an underlay for flooring grade chipboard, laminate or parquet style floating floors.

It is applied using a suitable approved building tape. Alternatively Platon Sealing Tape may be used where the moisture content in the concrete slab is high.

Platon Stop offers the ability to lay moisture sensitive floor finishes without waiting for long drying out periods.
